Growth through evangelism
Lord, I lift up our church growth to You. Add to our number daily through new converts. Birth spiritual children through us. Let our actions win people over without words. Use us as Your agents to rescue people from darkness and bring them into Your Son’s kingdom. We long to be worthy ambassadors in this ministry You have entrusted to us: that of proclaiming Your message of reconciliation to a lost world. At Christ Community Church in Brazil, the church I attend, there is always a statement in the bulletin announcing the Wednesday night prayer meeting as “the most important meeting of the week.” Between 50 and 75 people out of a church of 450 regularly attend. Not bad by prayer meeting standards. But some wonder why call it the most important meeting of the week? What makes it more important than the weekly worship service?
