One of the best ways to jump start people into a deeper level of prayer is to encourage them through a conference. Many of you attend our regional or national conferences, some churches spending thousands of dollars to do so. While we want to continue challenging you to come to our events, have you ever thought of bringing an event to your area? Most of our regional conferences are planned due to an invitation from the hosting church, not us seeking a location.
What Does it Take?
There are three possible conferences you can host.
1. An individual speaker conference. The CPLN
and our parent ministry Harvest Prayer Ministries have 13 different
speakers who can facilitate a prayer conference. These conferences are
put on and expenses covered by your church. In a sense you are paying
to bring in a speaker for a prayer weekend. Expenses may vary, based on
travel and housing expenses and agreed upon honorarium. Each speaker
has slightly different requirements. You can pick a speaker either by
topic or closeness to you. The speakers are listed below, with their
location and whether or not they travel nationally or regionally. Click
on their names and an email window will pop up.

2. A CPLN Regional Conference A church asks to
host a regional event that will be advertised by the CPLN nationally.
The CPLN brings in at least two speakers to provide keynotes and
workshops. The church provides a worship team, a local logistics
planning committee, volunteers, and its facilities free of charge (no
room rental, hourly pay for technicians, etc.). The church also focuses
on inviting other local churches and does promotion in its city. There
are three possible funding plans for this kind of conference:
Plan A. (The most popular) Much like having a
speaker come in, the host church pays CPLN $2,000. This is due several
months ahead of the conference. They pay no other expenses to CPLN.
CPLN pays its own travel and hotel expenses, and covers speaker
honorariums. The CPLN makes the rest of what it needs to put on the
conference through registration fees. Here's the great benefit for the
host church: because it paid $2,000, the host church's members can come
to the conference free. The $2,000 is in essence scholarshiping its
people.
Plan B. The host church provides its facilities
free, pays CPLN $1,000, but its people pay a significantly reduced
registration fee (Usually 40-50% off or $20-$25).
Plan C. The host church simply opens its facilities
for free and promotes the conferences locally. It pays nothing to CPLN.
In this plan, the members of the congregation receive a reduced rate on
the registration fee (Usually 25-33% off or $30-$35). The CPLN will
only agree to use this plan if we see a strong member base in the
region.
With CPLN Regionals, we need a church that can handle at least 300
people in its sanctuary, and has enough rooms to have 4-6 workshops.
3. Host an Annual National Convention We are
currently looking for sites for 2007 and 2008 (most likely early June).
While we are currently considering either metro Kansas City or metro
Detroit, we could be wooed anywhere. We have the following requirements. - The church and it senior pastor are sold out to wanting this event in their facility.
- The church's sanctuary could handle at least 2,000 people (we open the evening sessions to the public)
- Enough CE rooms/meeting rooms to handle 1,000-1,200 people
- Enough space for ministry booths, breaks, etc.
- Reasonably modern technology available
- Willing to host free of charge (If we break even, we always give a financial gift to the church)
- Within 30 minutes of a major airport
- Within 5-10 minutes of 250-350 hotel rooms
What does the church get (besides a few headaches)? The pleasure of
blessing its region and churches with a national, major conference
featuring powerful speakers and worship. A chance to expose its people
to wonderful teachers who will inspire them toward greater levels of
prayer, which will take your church deeper toward becoming a house of
prayer.

these conferences, please contact either the individual speaker or
