Help for the Hurting
Lord, I lift up those who are hurting right now. May they come to know You as El Roi, the God who sees them. For every situation of rejection, help them feel sonship. Bind up the brokenhearted! In every area of bondage, set the captives free; in every case of mourning, replace it with Your oil of gladness. Comfort them so that they will have a ministry of comfort to others. (Gen. 16:13; Ro. 8:15; Isa. 61:1-3; 2 Cor. 1:3-4)

I am on a spiritual high!
We just completed Empowered 2007. We are praising the Lord for His blessing which was so evident at our seventh annual convention. Be sure to read about it in our article to the right. We are looking forward to a full fall schedule of regional events: San Jose, CA on Sept 14-15, Rochester, MN on October 12-13 and Toledo, OH on Nov 9-10. Click on the Register for Regionals link for more information. Why not join us for one of these special times. Bring others with you to ignite their prayer lives! We also recommend attending either Reach the Summit (see sponsor link below) or the Midwest Prayer Conference sponsored by Harvest Prayer Ministries. But I am also excited about a new venture of the CPLN's. In partnership with our parent company--Harvest Prayer Ministries--we have launched a new publishing house: PrayerShop Publishing. Our first three books are either now off press or will soon be available. Check out the chapter from Pray Like the King, a powerful new study that looks at the prayers of Israel's kings. PrayerShop Publishing is the culmination of a 18-year dream of mine. Exciting plans are in store for PrayerShop, a publishing ministry that focuses solely on resources that help churches become houses of prayer. Thanks for joining the CPLN!
